Thai Beef Salad

Easy as dinner done within the time it took to grill the steak.
200 grams rump steak
1 medium onion sliced into rings
6 whole garlic gloves
A generous amount of sweet chilli sauce or relish to suit your taste
To save the mess cover a tray with tinfoil and lay out the steak covered in a generous amount of chilli sauce or relish.
Layer the onion rings and garlic around the steak.
Grill until the meat is cooked medium rare, let the meat rest.
Soak in hot water a packet of japanese udon noodles while waiting for steak to be ready and drain just before serving.
On a large platter arrange lettuce,tomato and cucumber
In the centre of the platter place the udon noodles
Slice the rump in thin strips, and pile high on top of the udon noodles, along with the onion rings and garlic gloves
A squeeze of a fresh lime over the dish and sprinkle with fried shallots.
Serve immediately.
