Today’s Sunday Brunch Chocolate Dayz Cafe

Sunday morning we set off to Days Bay to visit a well known and popular cafe hidden away in one of New Zealand’s unspoiled spots. Situated on the main road of Days Bay the cafe is hard not to miss with an incredible back drop of bush and historic homes topped off by a great view on the Eastern Side of Port Nicholson.
After ordering at the counter we walked around the cafe and found a variety of seating both inside and outside. The cafe had an eclectic mix of furniture and art and even catered for pets with posts to tie up your dog and water bowls.
We finally decided to make the most of the sea view and ended up taking a table out on the street. We were only seated for a short time soaking up the atmosphere and view when our meals arrived at our table without fuss. Hubby commented that it would be the first time our meal arrived before our coffee but we weren’t complaining and tucked into our food.
I loved my Caesar salad had a generous amount of bacon, crunchy croutons and beautiful organic egg with the richest colour yolk I have ever seen.
Hubby thought his the salmon Benedict was a bit ho hum and I certainly thought it needed some greens like wilted lettuce.
The coffee was excellent that topped the meal off nicely. Great place to visit.
